On behalf of Shell Todd Oil Services Ltd (STOS) we are pleased to offer for sale
by Tender a selection of Plant & Equipment for Removal/Recovery.
The bulk of the plant & equipment is located “in situ” at Tai Road, Oaonui
(approx. 45km from New Plymouth on Highway 45, South Taranaki, New Zealand).
The selected Plant & Equipment offered is in good condition and
will be required to be recovered/removed from site at the Buyer’s expense.
Due to the nature of this disposal, please refer to all terms, conditions
and requirements in the text below, including all downloads.
Inspection is welcome by prior arrangement, a minimum of 24 hours’
notice is required. Contact IBL.
Full personal protective equipment (PPE) requirements apply

Terms and Conditions of Tender
Tender Process
·         Highest or any Tender will not necessarily be accepted.
·         These items are offered “as is where is”.
·         No certificates or warranties offered.
·         Part Offers/Specific Item offers will be considered.(does not apply for scrap area)
·         Removal/Recovery is at the Buyer’s expense.
·         Certified Weigh Bridge is available at location.
·         STOS’ “Sale & Purchase Agreement” applies (see download below).
·         Tender Reply Form (see download below).
·         Inspection welcome by appointment only (min. 24 hours’ notice).
·         Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) including gloves, hard hat,
coverall, safety glasses & steel capped boots must be
worn on site (refer also below: PPE Requirements).
 
STOS’ Health, Safety & Environment (HSE) Requirements & Standards Apply
-          It is expected work will progress within Monday to Thursday,
aligned with STOS’ manning hours at Oaonui.
-          No confined space entry is allowed, however inspection records
can be supplied.
-          Activities MUST comply with STOS’ HSE requirements &
standards, including lifting and hoisting (see download below).
-          An overview of an HSE Plan and a Removal Plan
(including lifting/hoisting) must be submitted for approval
along with any bid. If successful, the Bidder(s) may be required
to produce more comprehensive plans before removal can occur.
-          Activity to remove any of the plant/ equipment will comply with
STOS’ Permit to Work (PTW) system. STOS will provide the
permit Issuer and Area Technician. The company removing equipment
will provide people to fill all other applicable roles. The Permit Applicant
and Person in Charge of Worksite (PICWS) roles must be trained to the
PICW’s level.
-          Evidence of insurances or intended insurances relevant to this work must
be provided. This includes Contract Work Liability Insurance to limit of
NZ$25 million and motor vehicle liability insurance of NZ$5 million. If
coming on site to remove scrap, then only the motor vehicle insurance
is required.
-          Lifting Checklists:
STOS’ lifting (and other) checklists are part of the STOS’
Permit to Work Manual, and are to be used in conjunction with the
permit. These will be provided to the successful bidder to plan
activities under STOS Permit to Work system.
Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) requirements while on site
-          The distinction is made between Scoping Phase (prior to award of Tender)
and Work Execution Phase (after award):
-          During Scoping Phase , visitors to site will require PPE as follows:
gloves, hard hat, coverall, safety glasses, and steel capped boots.
-          During Work Execution Phase, people on site will require PPE:
gloves, hard hat, coverall (fire retardant), safety glasses, steel capped
boots (laced) and any other appropriate PPE (e.g. noise mitigation PPE).
-          Medical requirements while on STOS’ site:
The distinction is made between Scoping Phase (prior to award of tender)
and Work Execution Phase (after award):
-          During Scoping Phase, visitors to site will not require a medical
-          During Work Execution Phase, people on site will require a medical to
the standard of STOS’ own Fitness to Work requirements.
